Blount Island (6)Geotechnical Engineering is one of E&A’s founding primary services. We offer a staff of highly-trained geotechnical engineers, our own fleet of specialized drilling equipment, and an in-house state-of-the-art soils laboratory. Most geotechnical issues are not apparent from the surface. Buried debris, organic deposits, highly-plastic clays, sinkholes, and shallow groundwater tables are just some of the challenges to design and construction that lie unseen beneath the surface. Surprises during earthwork and resulting change orders are costly.
